You are not broken. You are human.
Feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or caught in patterns that are difficult to change and it feels out of control.
It affects your relationships your work, your health, your housing, your confidence, and the way you see yourself. Over time, it leaves you feeling ashamed, isolated, overwhelmed, and unsure how to stop the cycle. You are looking for a way back to peace and feeling good about yourself.
You aren’t simply “making bad choices.”
Sometimes we develop ways of coping that no longer serve us. The goal was to numb the pain, stress, anxiety, difficult memories, or avoid emotions that feel too heavy to carry alone. But it isn’t working and likely is making things worse.
If any of that sounds familiar, I want you to know something important: You are not alone
Betters Ways of Dealing with Life’s Stressors is Within Reach
It is not about being stronger, tougher, or having more willpower. It is about having the right support, learning new tools, understanding what drives the unhelpful patterns, and creating meaningful, lasting change.
This is where I come in.
I work with adults facing difficult life experiences, emotional challenges, and patterns they want to change. Because of my own story, my education, and my experience helping people make meaningful changes in their lives, I understand how deeply these challenges affects a person’s life.
My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can begin to understand your story, develop healthy ways to cope, and take meaningful steps toward a better tomorrow.
You do not have to do this alone. Change starts with a phone call.
About Me
It’s My Story
I’m Bethany Russell, LCSW, at Pathways Counseling NWA. I have a Master’s Degree in Social Work and am licensed in Arkansas to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Over the past several years, I have provided individual and group counseling to people facing a variety of challenges, including substance use, difficult life experiences, and significant changes in their lives.
For those struggling with addictions, I understand you and your struggle more than you may realize. I grew up in a family affected by addiction, so I have seen firsthand how difficult patterns can affect not only one person, but also the people who care about them.
That experience has shaped the therapist I am today. I believe counseling should be a place where you can talk openly about what is happening in your life without being reduced to a diagnosis, behavior, or mistake.
Who am I?
I live with my cat, Willow. She is an absolute nuisance sometimes, but that is a part of her charm. Outside work, I like to read, play video and board games, and play D&D. I also enjoy doing crafty things. At the moment i am into diamond painting.
At the end of the day, I”m just a huge nerd at heart whose passion is to help those who are struggling with challenges in their lives.
Let’s get started.
I’m not new at counseling, but I am new at Pathways Counseling NWA. That means I have immediate openings… no wait. I take most insurances or private pay. And I am taking new clients for individual or group counseling.
I don’t know your story yet. But if you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or ready for something in your life to change, I would be honored to hear about it. Call me or message me today. Come share your story with me. You will find compassion in a judgement free space.
